Sydney Schreiner Wertz is an applied microeconomist in the U.S. Treasury's Office of Economic Policy. Her research spans the economics of education, regional and urban economics, and consumer finance, with a focus on how education and place shape economic mobility in the United States. Her policy work has covered higher education finance, housing markets, and the labor market impacts of artificial intelligence. She holds a PhD from Ohio State and a BA from Davidson College.
